The publication is based on efforts to create a qualitatively different edition of contemporary painting, consisting of an extensive visual narrative - a collection of photographic materials of the reproduction of works and the creative process, as well as four different essays from different authors (curator Katerina Gregosa, art scientist Elīna Sproģe, artists Ēriks Apaļais and Agnese Krivade). Through conversations, observations and letters, they outline the various moments of the connection between the artist Andris Eglītis.

The creators of the publication emphasize: "This book can be called a break in the process or a space where you can meet Andris Eglītis' paintings. Through works from recent series and new texts, it brings us closer to time, the environment and material used by artist.

Eglītis' works encourage highlighting his ability to create a dialogue between contemporary and tradition-based painting. The scenes, textures, and creations chosen for the book illustrate the process by which ways of creating meanings are sought by experimenting with light, materiality, painting technique, and subject matter."
