The Life of Livs

Publication of the album "The Life of Livs" is a noteworthy event and a result of a path that begun 70 years ago, in 1937-1939 in the school of Pize when Pēteris Dambergs together with his pupils prepared a present to the people of Estonia. This path led to Tartu where after the World War II the album was saved from destroying by the director of a secondary school, Karel Kotsar. In 2005, Kotsar’s daughter presented the album to the Professor of Tartu University Tiit Rein Viitso who, on his turn, passed the valuable evidence of the life of Livs over to the Liv Culture Centre for publication as a facsimile edition
