Bruno Vasiļevskis was an elite artist, an he will continue to be part of the elite as long as there exists education in the sense of the German word Bildung, and the ability cultivated by at least some people to contemplate and delve into his art in order to understand it.
The book is about the artist’s path towards the wholeness, about his experience along this path, about the time through which this path has led and also about the price it has charged. In order to assess his artistic heritage and to analyse the artist’s views on art and life, the structure of the book is based on three themes: “Life”, “Literature” and “Painting and its Theory”. All three were important to the artist.
